Our Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) qualification (EFAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that there is no requirement for a fully trained first aider (FAW) for their workplace. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the up to date guidelines as set out by the HSE and meets the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and any up to date subsequent changes.

First Aid at Work Training Course –  (FAW) 3 day training course

Our First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) qualification (FAW) is ideal for most businesses whose risk assessment has identified that they require one or more fully trained first aiders for their workplace. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent up to date changes.

All our first aid courses delivered fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council current Guidelines as per the HSE requirements (2015 are the latest guidelines). ProTrainings Vocational Training Qualifications (VTQ) is fully recognised by the HSE as Trade Body Qualifications.

Upon successfully completing and passing the courses your certificate will be valid for 3 years, however the HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher courses, these are available through TSL4Training, either classroom based or on-line

First Aid at Work Annual Refresher Training

Our TSL4Trainimng First Aid at Work annual refresher course provides qualified first aiders with an opportunity to practise and update their skills as a qualified first aider each year whilst their first aid certificate is still valid. The HSE guidelines strongly recommend that First Aiders attend a refresher session once every year during the 3 year certificate period.

First Aid at Work FAW Requalification Training

FAW Requalification TrainingOur First Aid at Work FAW requalification training course provides students with the updates and the opportunity to revisit all the first aid skills they need to renew their First Aid at Work certificate. The HSE strongly recommends that you requalify within a month of your certificate expiring.

This is a 100% classroom course over two days but we also offer blended training where you complete one day online, saving a day in the classroom. First Aid at Work (FAW) Level 3

This course is only for people who already hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and they can take this 2-day course rather than the full 3-day FAW. You must have a copy of your original certificate.

EFAW-F for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ) Emergency First Aid at Work

Forestry First Aid CoursesAll our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements. The ProTrainings Vocational Training Qualifications (VTQ) is fully recognised by the HSE as Trade Body Qualifications. Our Emergency First Aid at Work – EFAW-F for Forestry level 3 (VTQ) course includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission such as severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme disease. Also included to comply with the latest HSE and ERC guidelines, are Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings. This course will take approximately 7 hours.

In May 2016 the HSE and Awarding Organisations announced that computer-based blended training is now allowed for all workplace first aid courses. Meaning, you now have the option to complete your Emergency First Aid at Work-F course as a blended course. This is spilt up as 2 hours of online training followed by 4 hours in the classroom, this option of blended training allows you to learn the theory at your pace and then complete your classroom training r at a time that suits you. Our blended training courses meet all of the requirements of the HSE and Awarding Organisations.

Your training will cover:

The Forestry Commission have recently made some changes to their policies that they recommend to those who work in the Forestry industry. The recommendation is that workers within the Forestry sector attend training which includes additional topics relevant to the risks and nature or their work.

FAW-F for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ) On this FAW-F course we cover all the FAW subjects in addition to the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme disease, Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings

This course runs overs 3 days and the certificate is valid for 3 years or can be taken as a blended learning course. The HSE and Forestry Commission, strongly recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher course.

Equestrian First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) – FAW – 3-year nationally recognised certificate

Equestrian First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) - FAWOur Equestrian First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) training course is aimed at human first aid for anyone involved with horses where the First Aid at Work qualification is needed in addition to specific injuries involved when working with horses and a course tailored to equestrian subjects. If you are involved in teaching riding or other activities you are required to have the BHS first aid qualification or the HSE First Aid at Work qualification. With this course, it includes the approved FAW with extra subjects that are needed in the equestrian world. This course will take approximately 6 hours.
