Our Emergency First Aid at Work – EFAW-F for Forestry level 3 (VTQ) course includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission such as severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme disease. Also included to comply with the latest HSE and ERC guidelines, are Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings.

-All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements. The ProTrainings Vocational Training Qualifications (VTQ) is fully recognised by the HSE as Trade Body Qualifications. Our Emergency First Aid at Work – EFAW-F for Forestry level 3 (VTQ) course includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission such as severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme disease. Also included to comply with the latest HSE and ERC guidelines, are Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings. This course will take approximately 7 hours.

In May 2016 the HSE and Awarding Organisations announced that computer-based blended training is now allowed for all workplace first aid courses. Meaning, you now have the option to complete your Emergency First Aid at Work-F course as a blended course. This is split up as 2 hours of online training followed by 4 hours in the classroom, this option of blended training allows you to learn the theory at your pace and then complete your classroom training r at a time that suits you. Our blended training courses meet all of the requirements of the HSE and Awarding Organisations.

Your training will cover:

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider    Be able to assess an incident    Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking   Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding EFAW-F for Forestry Level 3

Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock      Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries

Group prices from £95.00 per person – 1 to 1 training available from £145.00. Prices are for training at our training centre in Sileby, Leicestershire. A separate charge is payable for the blended training.

First Aid at Work for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ) course (FAW-F)

FAW-F for Forestry Level 3 (VTQ) The Forestry Commission have recently made some changes to their policies that they recommend to those who work in the Forestry industry. The recommendation is that workers within the Forestry sector attend training which includes additional topics relevant to the risks and nature or their work.

On this FAW-F course we cover all the FAW subjects in addition to the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include severe cuts like chainsaws, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme disease, Tourniquets and Haemostatic dressings

This course runs overs 3 days and the certificate is valid for 3 years or can be taken as a blended learning course. The HSE and Forestry Commission, strongly recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher course.

Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace – Be able to conduct a secondary survey

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected injuries to bones, muscles and joints

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries

Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injury   Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with burns and scolds

Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with an eye injury  Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning EFAW-F for Forestry Level 3
