The Basic Food Hygiene Course – Also known as the Food Safety Level 2 course will give food handlers the legally required certification to work in the Health/Social care and hospitality sector.
This TSL4Training course will cover the basics of food preparation, regulations, precautions and care when preparing food for others. It is designed to meet and comply with the requirements of various regulations in food preparation and health and safety.
In line with regulation (EC) No 852/2004 all food businesses are required to implement procedures to prevent unsafe foods. Under these laws food manufacturers, caterers and other businesses in the food chain are responsible for and obliged to: Provide safe foods.
The Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006 states all food businesses have to ensure that their activities are carried out in a hygienic way, and make it an offence to supply food which is unsafe to be consumed and harmful to human health.
This TSL4Training course covers the essential aspects of food hygiene and safety during all stages of food handling in order to minimise food safety hazards. Delegates will also learn about the legal responsibilities of working with food and how to stay within and comply with the law. This TSL4Training course certificate is valid for 3 years and complies with H &S recommendations in reference to food safety and handling of food.
