Code of Ethics & Conduct

The Code of Ethics & Conduct of TSL4Training requires all those involved in the provision of training/services provided within and away from the centre to uphold professional standards that allow for the proper discharge of their responsibilities to those served, that protect the integrity of the profession, and that safeguard the interest of all individual students/clients.

Ø  All tutor practitioners offering any training/services as part of TSL4Training must hold full accredited qualifications in the disciplines they train in, to include a recognised qualification in teaching and assessing, along with full indemnity insurance, insurance must be maintained at all times.

Ø  All trainers/instructors must have a sincere commitment to provide the highest quality of training & care to those that seek their professional services whilst operating from or within the centre.

Ø  Represent their qualifications honestly, including their educational achievements and professional affiliations, and to provide only those training services for which they are qualified and disciplined in.

Ø  Accurately inform student/clients, other health care practitioners, and the public of the scope and limitations of their discipline, thus avoiding any misinterpretations of what training/services are offered.

Ø  Acknowledge the limitations of and contraindications for the training/services being offered.

Ø  To refer students/clients to the appropriate professionals where and when required.

Ø  Provide training only where there is a reasonable expectation that it will be advantageous to the student/client.

Ø  Conduct their business and professional activities with honesty and integrity, and respect the inherent worth of all persons.

Ø  Refuse to unjustly discriminate against students/clients or other professionals.

Ø  Safeguard the confidentiality of all student/client information, unless disclosure is required by law, court order, or is absolutely necessary for the protection of the public.

Ø  Respect the students/ client’s right to training with informed and voluntary consent.

Ø  Refrain, under all circumstances, from initiating or engaging in any sexual misconduct, sexual activities, or behaviour involving a student/client, even if the student/client attempts to promote the behaviour

Ø  Avoid any interest, activity or influence, which might be in conflict with the trainer/instructors obligation to act in the best interests of the student/client or the profession.

Ø  Respect the student’s/client’s boundaries with regard to privacy, disclosure, exposure, emotional expression, beliefs, and the student’s/clients reasonable expectations of professional behaviour.

Ø  Follow all policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, codes, and requirements of their qualification awarding body and insurer.
